What’s happening?
Customers are unable to create cloud flows using the Dataverse connector due to insufficient security roles assigned to their accounts.
Reason:
This arises when users do not have the necessary Dataverse security roles assigned, such as the Basic User or System Customizer roles, which are required to access the environment and create cloud flows.
Resolution:
- Assign at least one Dataverse security role to the user, such as the Basic User role, to allow access to the environment.
- Confirm that the user has a Power Automate Premium license, as this is required to create cloud flows using the Dataverse connector.
- If the user has only the Basic User security role and encounters errors when trying to create a cloud flow, consider assigning the System Customizer security role, which has more privileges.
- If creating a new security role, ensure it includes the necessary permissions to access the data in the environment; otherwise, the user will not be able to create a cloud flow using the Dataverse connector.
