Applies to Product - Power Pages

What’s happening?
Customers are unable to preview content in Power Pages, encountering messages such as "Getting set up" or "Error 403 - This web app is stopped."

Reason:
This may arise due to the following reasons:

  • The website is still provisioning, especially if a blank template was used for the first time.
  • The URL of the Dynamics 365 organization connected to the portal has changed.
  • The portal may be in administrative mode, preventing proper functionality.

Resolution:
  • If the website is stuck in provisioning, it is recommended to provision a default template first to ensure all necessary solutions are installed. After successful provisioning, attempt to set up the desired website again.
  • Restart the portal from the Power Platform admin center to resolve issues related to the web app being stopped.
  • Disable administrative mode for the environment where the website is hosted and check if this resolves this.
  • Clear the cache by navigating to the portal URL and appending "/_services/about" to load the clear cache page.
  • Ensure that the authentication key is not expired; if it is, renew the authentication key.
  • Verify that an application user is created for the website in the Dataverse organization and run the site checker to confirm its existence.
  • Check that the Dataverse organization where the website is created is operational and not in administrative mode.
  • Review the configuration settings and ensure that the website record is present and active, along with the website binding.
  • Use diagnostic tools to debug the Power Pages site and check for any configuration issues.
