What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues where changes made in the design studio of Power Pages are not reflected in the preview. This includes scenarios where the preview continues to show outdated layouts or does not update after syncing.


Reason:
The underlying causes for this include:

  • Cache not being cleared, which prevents the latest changes from being displayed.
  • Errors related to specific CSS files, such as "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500" for the portalbasictheme.css file.

 

Resolution:
To resolve this, the following steps should be taken:
  1. Clear the portal cache and restart the site to ensure that the latest changes are reflected in the preview.
  2. If errors related to CSS files are encountered, create a new web file for the affected CSS (e.g., portalbasictheme.css) to fix loading issues.
