What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with the setup process in Power Pages, including errors when attempting to import metadata for language translation, missing language options, and pages not displaying correctly in the new editor.
Reason:
The underlying causes for these issues may include:
- Missing supported languages in portal configuration.
- Changes in the Power Pages editor that affect visibility of pages and language options.
Resolution:
For Setup Process Errors:
- If encountering the error "Unable to complete the setup process. Delete it from Active and try again," ensure that the portal editor is removed from the active site. This action should not affect existing data.
- Follow the steps provided in the documentation to enable multiple-language support:
- Ensure the language is included in the Power Platform environment.
- Review the documentation on enabling multiple-language website support.
- Verify that the supported languages are correctly configured in the portal settings. This includes checking the "Authentication/Registration/Enabled" site setting and ensuring it is set to TRUE.
- If the language option is still missing, check the default web link sets in the Power Pages designer and add any missing pages for navigation.
- If pages are not visible in the new Power Pages editor, confirm that the display order for CSS files is correct and that the necessary pages are included in the navigation settings.
- Rebuild the navigation by adding a new web link set or removing and re-adding the existing web link set, then click on "Sync" in the Power Pages designer.
