What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with form metadata functionality not rendering as expected, including missing buttons and fields not updating correctly in embedded forms.
Reason:
- Forms may not be embedded correctly within the webpage, leading to failures in updating contact fields.
- This may stem from unsupported customizations or known design limitations.
Resolution:
For issues with missing buttons in form metadata:
- Ensure that the configuration is done correctly for the entities by referring to the documentation for basic forms and multi-step forms.
- Check if the "Override column attributes" setting is correctly configured.
- Remove the embedded HTML of the form from the page and insert the form properly using the form design element.
- Ensure that the form is of the "Subscription center" type and that the marketing page URL is added to the marketing email, wrapped with tracking.
- Use the developer tools to debug the Power Pages site to identify the cause of this.
- Run the Site Checker to figure out any configuration issues for the entity form, multi-step form, and quick form.
