Applies to Product - Microsoft Dataverse
What’s happening?
Users report that they need to restore deleted data from a Dataverse table.
Reason:
The disappearance of data is often due to the deletion of the apps by the users, which results in the loss of all associated data. Additionally, the recovery of deleted data may be hindered if the recycle bin feature was not enabled prior to the deletion.
Resolution:
For Recovering Deleted Data from Dataverse:
- Sign in to the Power Platform admin center as an admin.
- Navigate to the desired environment.
- Go to Settings > Product > Features.
- Enable the Recycle Bin setting and specify the time interval for restoring table records (up to 30 days).
- Save the changes and allow 30 minutes for the system to configure the recycle bin.
- Sign in to the Power Platform admin center as a user with the system administrator security role.
- Open the environment where you want to view and restore deleted records.
- Go to Settings > Data management > Deleted records.
- View all the deleted records from all tables.
- Select one or more records you wish to restore and then select Restore on the command bar.
- Confirm the action to restore by selecting OK.
- For further details, refer to the documentation on restoring deleted table records.
