What’s happening?
The customer is seeking guidance on how to configure custom roles or strategies to govern the usage of AI prompts within their tenant.
 

Reason:
The need arises from security and governance concerns regarding the access and usage of AI Builder features, specifically AI prompts.
 

Resolution:
To effectively govern the usage of AI prompts within your tenant, you can leverage the AI prompts environment setting or the AI prompts environment group rule in the Microsoft Power Platform Admin Center. Below are detailed steps to assist in this process:
To control AI prompts feature availability for an environment:

  1. Sign in to Power Platform admin center.
  2. In the admin center, select Environments > [select an environment] > Settings > Product > Features.
  3. On the Features settings page under AI Builder, enable or disable the AI prompts toggle.
If your environment is part of an environment group, you can also govern AI prompts feature availability through the AI prompts environment group rule.
  1. Sign in to Power Platform admin center.
  2. In the admin center, select Environment groups > [select an environment group] > Rules.
  3. On the Rules tab under AI prompts, enable or disable the AI prompts toggle.
  4. Save the changes.
  5. To apply the rules to the environments in the group, select Publish rules.
