What’s happening?
Customers may encounter issues when attempting to change the target environment to a deployment environment in their pipeline configuration. Additionally, there are concerns regarding the impact of deleting an environment in the pipeline configuration.

Reason:
This arises when the environment type is not properly linked or configured within the pipeline settings. Specifically, errors can occur when trying to add an existing deployment environment that is already set as a target environment.

Resolution:

  • To change the target environment to a deployment environment, ensure that the environment type is correctly selected as either Development Environment or Target Environment during the linking process in the pipeline configuration.
  • If you encounter an error when adding an existing deployment environment, delete the current target environment and create a new development environment using the old ID.
  • You can delete the environment record and update the pipeline configuration as needed. If an environment is reset, you can re-create the environment record and associate it with your pipeline.
  • Ensure that the environment ID is unique in the list within the development pipeline configuration to avoid conflicts.
