What’s happening?
Customers are unable to cancel jobs that are registered for archiving in Dataverse long-term retention, particularly when the job status remains "In Progress" for an extended period.
Reason:
This arises when an archiving job is created in a Dataverse environment that is not managed. Changes have been implemented to prevent users from creating archiving jobs in unmanaged environments. Currently, there is no functionality available for users or vendors to cancel these archiving jobs.
Resolution:
- To resolve this, ensure that the Dataverse environment is managed. This can be done by following the steps outlined in the documentation for enabling managed environments.

- If the environment is already managed and the issue persists, please note that the ability to cancel archiving jobs is currently not available, and further investigation may be required.
