Inquiring if one Dataverse environment can link to more than one Fabric workspace.
 

Reason:
The official feature allows linking only one Dataverse environment to a single Fabric workspace. However, from the Fabric perspective, multiple connections can be created in different workspaces using the same Dataverse.
 

Resolution:

  1. Confirm that the Dataverse environment complies with the Fabric region to prevent potential issues when creating the connection.
  2. Utilize the official documentation for linking Dataverse to Fabric, which states that while you can link only one workspace, you can create Dataverse shortcuts in multiple workspaces.
  3. If additional tables are enabled by default after linking, raise a support request to remove any unneeded tables, as this consumes additional Dataverse storage.
  4. Ensure that the Fabric capacity is within the same Azure geographical region as the Dataverse environment.
