What’s happening?
Customers are encountering an error message stating, "We are unable to sign up for the trial at this time. Please try again later. Error ID: 531a09ed-8490-48ae-9a92-830ea2616e87" when attempting to sign up for Power Pages.


Reason:
This is likely due to the tenant admin having disabled self-service sign-up for Microsoft trial products, which prevents users from creating a trial account.


Resolution:
Check Self-Service Sign-Up Settings:

  1. The tenant admin should verify if self-service sign-up is enabled for the tenant. This can be done by accessing the Microsoft Entra admin center as a User Administrator or higher.
  2. Navigate to Identity → External Identities → External Collaboration Settings.
  3. Ensure that the "Enable guest self-service sign up via user flows" switch is set to Yes and click Save.
Assign Required Licenses:
  1. If self-service sign-up is not enabled, the tenant admin should manually assign the "Power_Pages_vTrail_for_Makers" license to the user attempting to sign up.
Retry Sign-Up:
  1. After confirming the settings and assigning the necessary licenses, the user should attempt to sign up again using the link: http://make.powerpages.microsoft.com.
