What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with adding notes in the timeline of the employee self-service portal. Specifically, when agents attempt to add notes prefixed with WEB, the formatting of the text changes, and the asterisk symbol is removed, resulting in the notes not displaying on the portal. The issue has been confirmed to occur in both production and trial instances, indicating it is not isolated to a specific environment.
Reason:
This appears to be related to recent updates in the timeline notes section, which has altered how text is formatted. The notes field recognizes the asterisk (*) as a macro for styling text, leading to the removal of the symbol and changes in text formatting.

Resolution:
It has been observed that when agents type WEB and then press backspace before entering additional text, this method prevents the text format from changing, allowing the notes to be saved correctly.
As a temporary mitigation, it is recommended to perform actions in the old user interface until a permanent fix is implemented.
