What’s happening?
Customers are unable to save JavaScript files in web files for use across different pages. The upload button appears to function, but the files do not save successfully, while other file types, such as .txt, save without issues.

Reason:
This may be caused by a setting that blocks certain file extensions from being uploaded, specifically the JavaScript (.js) file extension.

Resolution:
To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Power Platform Admin Center or the Power Platform Environment App.
  2. Navigate to the relevant environment settings.
  3. Go to the "Privacy and Security" section and look for "Blocked Attachments."
  4. Alternatively, check under "System Management" in the Environment App for "General" settings related to blocked file extensions.
  5. If the ".js" extension is listed, remove it from the blocked list.
  6. After making changes, refresh the web file page and attempt to save the JavaScript file again.
