What’s happening?
Users are unable to see the option to delete notes or attachments when using the Notes Metadata control in multi-step forms, particularly for files stored in Azure Blob.
 

Reason:
The inability for users to delete uploaded files is expected behavior based on the current design of the product. Only signed-in users who are the creators of the notes can edit or delete them.
 

Resolution:

  • Ensure that the user is signed in and has the appropriate permissions to delete notes.
  • Confirm that the "Delete enabled" setting is set to true for the notes in the configuration.
If the issue persists, check the web client properties for the timeline configuration in the form settings. This can be done by:
  1. Opening the form from Advanced settings – customizations – customize the system – Expand entities.
  2. Double-clicking on the timeline and selecting web client properties.
  3. Verifying that the default tab is set to "Notes."
  4. Restart the Power Page after making any changes to the settings to ensure they take effect.
