What’s happening?
Customers encounter an error during the migration of Power sites from a standard data model to an enhanced data model, specifically receiving a message indicating that the base Dataverse package does not have the latest version for migration.

Reason:
This arises when the required platform packages for migration to the enhanced data model are not present or updated in the current organization. Additionally, using the incorrect ID (such as the App ID instead of the Portal ID) during the migration process can lead to the admin center still showing "Standard" for the site.

Resolution:

  1. Ensure that all required platform packages for migration to the enhanced data model are present and updated in the current organization.
  2. Verify that the correct Portal ID is used in the updateDatamodelVersion stage during the migration process.
  3. If the migration fails, check the version of the PAC CLI being used. Update to the latest version of the Microsoft PowerApps CLI if necessary.
  4. Follow the prerequisites outlined in the documentation for migrating from standard to enhanced data models, ensuring all steps are completed as specified.
