What’s happening?
Customers are unable to find retail tables or channel databases after restoring a database from a UAT environment to a virtual machine. Only DBO tables are visible.


Reason:
This arises due to the absence of the Commerce Scale Unit (CSU) installation in the development environment, which is mandatory for the retail and channel databases to function properly.


Resolution:

  1. Confirm that the CSU is installed in the development environment. If it is not installed, follow the instructions provided in the documentation to install the CSU: Install CSU on Development Environment
  2. After installation, verify if the retail tables or channel databases are now accessible.
