What’s happening?
Customers are unable to issue loyalty cards from the Point of Sale (POS) system, encountering errors during the process. The error message indicates that the real-time service was successfully connected, but the method call to issue the loyalty card failed.

Reason:
The underlying cause of this may include:
- Duplicate values in the loyalty card records, preventing the creation of new records.
- Configuration issues related to the POS setup, such as the operation ID for issuing loyalty cards being incorrectly set or permissions not allowing the issuance of loyalty cards.

Resolution:
To resolve the loyalty card issuance issue in POS, follow these steps:
Check Store Linkage: Ensure the store is linked to the loyalty card setup.

  1. Navigate to Retail -> All Retail stores -> Setup in the action pane -> Payment methods -> Verify the required loyalty card.
Enable Redeemable Option: Ensure the Redeemable option for loyalty rewards is enabled.
  1. Go to loyalty reward points -> Select the required loyalty reward point ID -> Set the Redeemable option to Yes.
Run Full Sync: Perform a full synchronization to ensure the master data is applied at the channel database.
  1. Go to Retail -> Retail IT -> Distribution Schedule. Run jobs 1050 and 1070 for the store reporting the issue.
Check Configuration Changes: Verify if any setup/configuration changes were made that could have caused the issue. If changes were made, identify and review them.
Review Error Messages: If an error message appears during the tendering process, check the Event viewer log for details. Ensure the loyalty card payment is configured as a tender type for the channel.
Miscellaneous Configurations: Ensure other configurations are correct, such as the redemption rules for loyalty schemes, and that the required columns are selected (e.g., Programmer ID, Category, Reward point ID, Reward point type, Redemption type, Amount or quantity).
