What’s happening?
Users are experiencing issues when attempting to create their own timesheets, resulting in error messages indicating that the record already exists or that timesheet entries are being missed during processing.

Reason:
This may be related to the number sequence in the project management and accounting parameters, where existing numbers in the status list need to be cleared. Additionally, the problem appears to be specific to certain AOS instances, where timesheet entries processed through some AOS servers are missed.

Resolution:

  1. Check Number Sequence:
  2. Navigate to the project management and accounting parameters.
  3. Locate the number sequence that uses the format PFMA-xxxxx (likely the timesheet number).
  4. Go to the status list under the number sequence tab.
  5. If there are any numbers in the list, select all of them and use the shortcut key combination: Alt + F9 to delete all entries.
  6. Test Timesheet Creation:
  7. After clearing the status list, ask the user to attempt creating a new timesheet again to see if the error persists.
  8. Investigate AOS Instances:
  9. If the issue continues, check which AOS instance is being used for processing. It has been noted that AOS 63 processes entries successfully, while AOS 64 and 65 may have issues.
  10. Ensure that the missing timesheet batch process is running correctly on the appropriate AOS instance.
  11. Follow Up:
  12. If the problem remains unresolved after these steps, consider setting up a meeting with the user to further investigate the issue.
