What’s happening?
The coverage start date time for benefits enrollments automatically populates to 11:59:59 PM UTC instead of the expected midnight (12:00:00 AM) start time. This discrepancy can lead to significant downstream effects on integrations and data quality.

Reason:
The product team confirmed that starting with version 10.0.39, the coverage start timestamp has had a design change that sets the start time to 11:59:59 PM instead of 12:00:00 AM for benefit plans under the first day of the following month assignment configuration. This behavior is by design and not classified as a bug.

Resolution:
You can find more information on this already reported to product team at Details for issue 968623
It is working as intended to cover coverage calculations. However, to have a seamless integration with third party systems and date format across the other parts of the app, we will be creating a change request to make the start date to begin with 12:00:00AM.
