What’s happening?
Customers are receiving a notification stating that "environment variable needs to be updated" when logging into the Power Apps application.


Reason:
This is related to an environment variable that requires an update within the Power Apps environment.


Resolution:
Update the Environment Variable in Power Platform Admin Center:

  1. Go to the Power Apps Maker Portal.
  2. Select the correct environment from the top-right dropdown.
  3. Navigate to Solutions and locate the solution containing the environment variable.
  4. Find and open the Environment Variable Definition.
  5. Check if a Default Value or Current Value is missing.
  6. Click Edit, enter the required value, and then Save & Publish All Customizations.
Update the Environment Variable via Advanced Find:
  1. Open Advanced Find (Ctrl + Shift + Q).
  2. Search for Environment Variable Values (environmentvariablevalue) entity.
  3. Identify the variable that needs an update.
  4. Open it and update the Value field with the required data.
  5. Click Save & Close.
