What’s happening?
Users are unable to create or edit a Bookable Resource (calendar) in Project Online, receiving a read-only error when attempting to make changes.

Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to insufficient permissions for the users attempting to edit the Bookable Resource.

Resolution:

  1. Check Permissions: Ensure that the users have the necessary permissions to edit the Bookable Resource calendar. They should have at least the "Edit" permission on the calendar.
  2. Update Permissions: If users do not have the required permissions, update their role to "System Customizer" in the Power Platform Admin Center. This can be done by:
  3. Navigating to the Power Platform Admin Center.
  4. Selecting the appropriate environment.
  5. Going to the "Users" section and clicking on "All Users."
  6. Selecting the user needing permission changes.
  7. Clicking on "Manage Roles" and selecting the "System Customizer" role.
  8. Saving the changes.
  9. Clear Cache and Cookies: Instruct users to clear their browser cache and cookies, then attempt to access the Bookable Resource again.
  10. Use a Different Browser: If the issue persists, suggest trying a different browser, as some users have reported success by switching from Edge to Chrome.
  11. Update Project Online: Ensure that Project Online is up to date, as updates can resolve bugs and issues.
