What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues related to understanding AI Builder credits for their tenant and assignment, including concerns about capacity utilization and credit allocation.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is the consumption of AI Builder capacity within specific environments, leading to confusion regarding the allocated and consumed credits.
Resolution:
- Customers can check the document provided for further information regarding AI Builder credits and how to assign them. AI Builder licensing and credit management | Microsoft Learn
- It is noted that some environments have consumed all of their AI Builder capacity or are nearing full utilization. For example, one environment had 2,002,000 allocated credits and 2,244,672 consumed credits. Overage consumption is allowed up to a limit.
- Customers should verify the settings related to credit consumption, specifically whether the option "Allow users to consume unassigned credits" is turned off, as this can affect whether unassigned credits can be utilized or not within environments without allocated credits.
- If citizen developers encounter a "Request extension" option, they can request a free extension. Each request provides 200,000 credits. Number of extension request per month is limited.
