What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing difficulties in assigning AI Builder credits for use in the development environment in PowerApps, or other environments.
 

Reason:
This arises when customers are unsure of the steps required to allocate AI Builder credits to their development environment, and they may lack the necessary administrative privileges to perform this action.
 

Resolution:
To assign AI Builder credits in the Power Platform Admin Center, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Power Platform Admin Center
    1. Sign in with your admin account.
  2. Navigate to Capacity Management:
    1. On the left-hand menu, click on Licensing-> Capacity add-ons. (With the previous version of admin center, go to Resources → Capacity)
    2. In the Summary tab, you will see an overview of your available storage and AI Builder credits.
  3. Allocate AI Builder Credits:
    1. Click on the Add-ons tab.
    2. Locate AI Builder Capacity.
    3. Click on Manage to assign credits.
    4. Select the environment where you want to allocate AI Builder credits.
    5. Enter the number of credits to assign to that environment.
  4. Click Save to confirm.
  5. Verify Allocation:
    1. Go back to the Add-ons tab.
    2. Check that the AI Builder credits have been correctly assigned to the selected environment.
Additional Notes: - AI Builder credits are assigned per environment, not per user. - You need admin privileges to manage AI Builder credits.
