What’s happening?
When users interact with agents that rely on uploaded files to generate answers, they may encounter the following error message if there’s a problem retrieving the file:
"Sorry, something unexpected happened. We’re looking into it.
Error code: FileValidationError. Conversation ID: {conversationID}" 

Reason:
This error typically occurs when the file being analyzed is either invalid or empty. One common reason for this is that the file exceeds the supported size limit.
In such cases, users may also see this message in Copilot Studio:
"The file exceeds the limit and will be skipped". 


Resolution:
To avoid this, ensure that all uploaded files comply with the size limits specified in the public documentation: 

If the problem continues after verifying file size, further investigation may be necessary.
