What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues when attempting to calculate statements that include kit items. The system displays errors indicating that the physical quantity available for certain retail kits is insufficient, despite there being available stock.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is related to discrepancies in the quantity and price of items, particularly when dealing with decimal values. The sales line discount and amount calculations are not in sync with the retail system, leading to errors during the statement calculation process.
Resolution:
To resolve this, follow these steps:
1. Verify Inventory: Ensure that the quantities for the kit items are correctly reflected in the inventory. Check for any discrepancies between sold quantities and available stock.
2. Create Assembly Orders: If the kits are composed of components with tracking dimensions, it is necessary to inform the batch or serial number of the component during the BOM journal creation. - Go to the kit orders form.
- Create a new assembly order.
- Enter the kit quantity to assemble for the kit variant that was sold.
- Click on "Assembly kit" and go to "view BOM Journal."
- On the "Bills of materials" form, inform the batch or serial number for the tracking dimension controlled items.
- Return to the kit order form and click "Post."
3. Create Statement Post: After ensuring that the assembly orders are created and the quantities are sufficient, attempt to create the statement post again. The system should now have the necessary kit on-hand quantity and will not attempt to assemble the kit again.
