What’s happening?
The loyalty card is not automatically added to the POS transaction when searched and added via the global search bar.
Reason:
- For the automatic addition of loyalty cards, the system may not be configured correctly to generate loyalty card numbers or link them to the appropriate loyalty program.
- Navigate to Retail > Channel setup > POS setup > POS profiles > Functionality profile.
- Select the functionality profile associated with the store.
- In the General tab, find the "Generate loyalty card number" option and turn it on. This setting allows the POS to automatically generate a unique loyalty card number for customers.
- Ensure that the loyalty program is set up correctly by defining the earning and redemption rules, tiers, and affiliations as needed. Confirm that the loyalty program is active and properly configured.
- Ensure that customers are enrolled in the loyalty program, either manually or automatically based on business rules.
- Verify that the "Add loyalty card" operation is available in the POS layout by navigating to Retail > Channel setup > POS setup > Screen layout and adding the operation to the appropriate button grid.
- Test the configuration by opening the POS application, performing a global search for a customer, adding the customer to the transaction, and verifying that the loyalty card is automatically added.
