What’s happening?
Customers are unable to display additional channel navigation hierarchies in the Point of Sale (POS) system, as only one category is currently visible.
Reason:
In standard configurations, only one channel navigation hierarchy can be assigned per channel.
Resolution:
- Create the catalog and assign the retail channel to the store.
- Assign the desired category hierarchy to the catalog. Individual products can also be assigned as long as they are associated with the channel.
- Validate the catalog and send it for approval.
- Once approved, run a full synchronization using the 9999 job.
- If using a development environment, restart the retail server after synchronization.
- Start the POS and initiate a new shift to check if the catalog is now visible.
- Ensure that the feature "Enable use of multiple catalogs on retail channels" is disabled under 'Feature management' as it may negatively impact the POS when multiple catalogs are used.
- If changes are not visible immediately, wait for 10-15 minutes for the cached values to refresh, especially if using Azure search.
