What’s happening?
Customers are unable to display additional channel navigation hierarchies in the Point of Sale (POS) system, as only one category is currently visible.
 

Reason:
In standard configurations, only one channel navigation hierarchy can be assigned per channel.
 

Resolution:

  1. Create the catalog and assign the retail channel to the store.
  2. Assign the desired category hierarchy to the catalog. Individual products can also be assigned as long as they are associated with the channel.
  3. Validate the catalog and send it for approval.
  4. Once approved, run a full synchronization using the 9999 job.
  5. If using a development environment, restart the retail server after synchronization.
  6. Start the POS and initiate a new shift to check if the catalog is now visible.
  7. Ensure that the feature "Enable use of multiple catalogs on retail channels" is disabled under 'Feature management' as it may negatively impact the POS when multiple catalogs are used.
  8. If changes are not visible immediately, wait for 10-15 minutes for the cached values to refresh, especially if using Azure search.
