What’s happening?
Following the migration of Windows login ID from Active Directory (AD) to Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), users are experiencing an issue where the cash drawer is physically closed but is still indicated as open in the application.
Reason:
This may arise if the business has recently made changes to the hardware profile in the headquarters (HQ). Shifts are linked to the current cash drawer configuration at the moment they are created. If the shift was created before the hardware profile was changed, the store will not use the new configuration and will not make calls to the cash drawer.
Resolution:
- Ensure that Job 1060 has been executed and applied on the channel.
- On the store, close the shift that is already associated with the cash drawer.
- Create a new shift and ensure to select the correct cash drawer.
