What’s happening?
The Distributed Order Management (DOM) system is incorrectly assigning latitude and longitude coordinates to postal addresses, resulting in inaccurate sales tax calculations.

Reason:
This arises from the current product design of the DOM system, which provides coordinates at the level of postal code areas rather than specific street addresses or individual building coordinates.

Resolution:

  1. Confirm that the Azure maps key used by the DOM system is valid and authorized. An expired or unauthorized key will result in incorrect geocoding.
  2. Ensure that the Azure Maps parameter is enabled from the DOM Parameters page in the headquarters.
  3. Verify that the DOM batch job is configured to run in the background and check its settings.
