What’s happening?
Customers are inquiring about the Dataverse capacity allowance associated with various licenses, specifically whether attach licenses confer additional storage capacity.


Reason:

  • Attach licenses do not include additional capacity entitlements; they provide access to the capacity entitlements included with the base license. The only exception is Customer Insights attach licenses, which come with the same default capacity entitlements as their base license counterparts.
Resolution:
  • For attach licenses, only the base license for a Dynamics 365 product includes the default capacity entitlement. This default capacity is shared across the tenant and is not cumulative, meaning additional licenses do not increase the initial default capacity.
  • Each enterprise base license provides additional database and file capacity allocations at no charge, while attach licenses do not include additional capacity entitlements.
