What’s happening?
The customer wants to shelve their Dynamics 365 environment and migrate their data from their model-driven app to an external source.
Reason:
The customer confirmed their intention to stop using Dynamics 365 and requested a backup of their data in model-driven app.
Resolution:
- For data migration, the customer can consider exporting to Excel for smaller data sets. More information can be found at: Export Data to Excel.
- For larger data sets, it is recommended to use a third-party tool for migration.
- The customer was informed that if they stop using the environment, it will be disabled and may eventually be deleted.
