What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing failures when attempting to restore their environments from backups in Power Platform. The error messages indicate that the restoration process cannot be completed due to various underlying issues.

Reason:
The failures in restoring environments from backups are primarily attributed to:
- Expired licenses leading to reduced storage capacity, which prevents successful restoration.
- Temporary issues within the product that may have affected the restoration process.

Resolution:
To resolve this of failed environment restoration, the following steps should be taken:
1. Check License Status: Ensure that the license is active and has not expired. If the license has expired, renew it to restore full functionality.
2. Increase Storage Capacity: If storage capacity is insufficient, refer to the following resource to manage and increase storage: Free Storage Space.
3. Retry Restoration: After addressing the license and storage issues, attempt the restoration process again. If the problem persists, consider waiting for a brief period (up to 10 minutes) before retrying, especially if using manual backups.

If the restoration fails due to the environment retention period being exceeded, it may not be possible to recover the environment.
