What’s happening?
The customer needs to assign App Owner security roles to a large number of users (approximately 2000) from a security group but cannot find an option to do this efficiently without adding roles manually.
Reason:
The customer is unable to assign roles directly to a large number of users due to the limitations in the user interface for role assignment in the Power Platform environment.
Resolution:
To efficiently assign the App Owner security roles to multiple users, follow these steps:
1. Create a Teams group in the Power Platform Admin Center for the environment.
2. Associate the created Teams group with the existing Security group.
3. Assign the App Owner security role to the Teams group.
This way, all members of the Teams group will inherit the security role at run-time.
