What’s happening?
The customer's solution failed due to the CRM API token being stored in an authentication entity with a character limit that was exceeded after Microsoft increased the token length without prior notice.
Reason:
Microsoft increased the CRM API token length, which can now be up to 10,000 characters, while the customer's authentication entity had a limit of 2,000 characters.
Resolution:
- Inform the customer that the token length can go up to 10,000 characters as per the documentation.
- Suggest the customer update their authentication entity to accommodate the increased token length.
- Recommend reviewing the Microsoft documentation on Microsoft Entra client access token entity definition for further details.
