What’s happening?
The customer is unable to paste more than 600 rows when copying journal lines into the system. The issue manifests as the system attempting to paste a new row to the same line, particularly when pasting over 800 rows.
Reason:
This is caused by faulty entries in some fields of the data being copied, specifically related to 'new line' breakpoints that are not supported by the system. The system only accepts 'new line' at the end of the line.
Resolution:
- Copy the data to a text editor (such as Notepad) to identify any erroneous 'new line' breakpoints.
- Review the data in the text editor and locate any fields that contain 'new line' breakpoints.
- In the original data source (e.g., Excel), search for the identified fields and eliminate any 'new line' entries, ensuring that all data is in a single line.
- After correcting the data, attempt to paste the rows again. This should resolve the issue, allowing for successful pasting of the journal lines.
