What’s happening?
The User Group list was removed following an update to Version 25 in the production environment, and there is an inquiry about the possibility of retrieving previously configured User Groups.
 
Reason:
User group permissions are no longer available in Version 25.0, as user groups have been replaced by user security groups, which are applicable across multiple Microsoft products.
 
Resolution:
To manage permissions moving forward, customers should use user security groups. These groups are based on Microsoft Entra ID for Business Central online or Windows Active Directory for on-premises deployments. Administrators can manage groups consistently across Dynamics 365 applications. For more details, refer to the documentation on controlling access using security groups.
