What’s happening?
Encountering an error message stating, "You do not have a Power BI account. If you have just activated a license, it might take several minutes for the changes to be effective in Power BI." This issue affects multiple users and occurs when attempting to start Power BI within Business Central.
Reason:
This is related to a known platform problem that causes Business Central to use incorrect credentials when connecting to Power BI services. This can occur if there is a delay in the activation of the Power BI license or if there are issues with the Power BI Embedded functionality.
Resolution:
- Confirm that the affected users have a valid Power BI license assigned to their accounts.
- If a license was recently activated or changed, wait for several minutes to allow the changes to take effect.
- As a temporary workaround, users can access their Power BI reports directly from the Power BI website while the issue is being resolved.
