What’s happening?
The picklist gets split if the quantity is not available in the default bin. Once the quantity becomes available, it does not merge (combine) by item and bin on the picklist while using reservation.
Reason:
This is related to the location setup. Specifically, certain bins have been blocked for outbound transactions, which affects how the system processes inventory picks.
Resolution:
- Review the location setup to ensure that the bins are configured correctly.
- Check the quantities in the bins. For example, if a sales order is created with a quantity that exceeds the available quantity in the default bin, the system will create multiple lines in the inventory pick.
- Ensure that the bins have sufficient quantity to avoid splitting the picklist. If a bin has sufficient quantity, it will not create additional lines.
- If the second bin is blocked for outbound transactions, the system will not allow posting of the picking in scenarios where there is insufficient quantity to pick.
