What’s happening?
Sales Orders are not being archived when changes are made to the Sales Orders or when their status is altered, despite the configuration to archive Sales Orders upon deletion or posting.
Reason:
Automatic archiving of Sales Orders does not occur during status changes. Instead, it is triggered when the Sales Order Confirmation Report is printed and when the shipment of the sales order is posted. The status change does not initiate automatic archiving.
Resolution:
- To manually archive the sales order, use the Restore action to overwrite it with an archived version if the original document still exists and is not posted.
