Applies to Product - Dynamics 365 Business Central
What’s happening?
The Client Web URL in the production environment for the CRM integration is incorrect and does not update when attempting to reset it using the standard button in the Dynamics 365 configuration menu.
Reason:
This likely stems from residual configuration settings that were copied over during the sandbox-to-production replication process. Integration settings and URLs may not automatically update to reflect the new environment type, leading to the production environment still referencing the sandbox URL.
Resolution:
Manually update the URL:
- Navigate to the "Dynamics 365 Integration Setup" page in the production environment.
- Manually overwrite the "Dynamics 365 Business Central Web Client URL" field with the correct production URL, ensuring it does not include sandbox identifiers.
- If manual updates fail or revert back to the sandbox URL, clear any cached integration settings. This may require administrative access to reset or clear configurations stored in the system.
- Disconnect and reconnect the Dynamics 365 Sales integration:
- Go to "Dynamics 365 Connection Setup."
- Disable the integration and then re-enable it.
- During re-enabling, ensure that the correct production URL is provided for both Dynamics 365 Sales and Business Central.
- Log in to the Business Central Admin settings.
- Verify that the production environment is properly labeled as "Production" and not as a sandbox.
- Ensure that no sandbox-specific configurations are applied to the production environment.
- Inspect the current URL of the Business Central web client to ensure it matches the production environment's tenant ID and company name.
- Remove any ?sandbox=true parameters if present.
- As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall any extensions or applications related to Dynamics 365 Sales integration to refresh settings and resolve persistent issues.
