What’s happening?
The customer needs clarification on the meanings of the fields "Source Prod. Order" and "Source Ref. No." in table 337 - Reservation Entry.
 

Reason:
The fields in question are related to the production order line and reference numbers associated with reservation entries.
 

Resolution:

  • Source Prod. Order: This field references the production order line related to the component need. For example, in the context of fulfilling the demand for a parent item, the source production order line indicates the specific line in the production order that requires the component.
  • Source Ref. No.: This field contains a reference number for the line to which the reservation entry is related. If the entry is related to a sale or purchase line, a journal line, or a requisition line, information in this field is copied from the corresponding No. field. If it's related to an entry in the Item Ledger Entry table (Table 32), information in this field is copied from the Entry No. field of the Item Ledger Entry table.
