What’s happening?
The customer has initiated a copy of their Business Central environment into a sandbox environment but failed without receiving any error message or log.
Reason:
This is caused by installed extensions that interfere with the copy process. The error message is hidden due to a separate bug, making it difficult to identify the specific problem.
Resolution:
- Uninstall all custom extensions before attempting the copy.
- Disable the master data sync job if enabled.
- Open a new session in Business Central.
- Attempt to perform the copy again.
- If the failure occurs, provide the error details and note down the session IDs from the "Help and Support" section under "Report a problem."
- Reinstall the extensions after the copy is successfully completed.
- Set up a retention policy to clean up tables like "Integration Synch. Job Errors" to prevent future copy issues.
