What’s happening?
Experiencing issues where discounts are not being applied correctly on sales orders and purchase orders. Specifically, when changing the location code on a purchase order line, the associated line discount is cleared incorrectly. Additionally, users are able to enter values in the "Online discount" field on sales orders even after disabling the "Allow online discount" setting in the sales price list.


Reason:
The underlying cause of this is identified as a design behavior in the system. When the quantity unit price is adjusted, the line discount will typically disappear, requiring manual re-entry. 


Resolution:

  1. For this with the purchase order line discount being cleared:
  2. Confirm that this behavior is by design. Users need to manually re-enter the discount after changing the location code on the purchase order line.
  3. For the sales price list functionality:
  4. Ensure that the "Allow online discount" setting is disabled in the sales price list. However, users should be informed that they will still be able to enter values in the "Online discount" field on sales orders, as this is the expected behavior of the system.
