What’s happening?
Customers are unable to edit the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Expense application to make custom controls and forms as per their requirements.
Reason:
This arises because the application is a managed solution, which does not allow for direct editing. Customers need to utilize either a custom unmanaged solution or the default solution to make modifications.
Resolution:
To edit the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Expense application:
- Create a new custom unmanaged solution that includes the necessary components for modification.
- Alternatively, use the default solution to make the required changes.
- Once modifications are complete, ensure to publish the customizations.
- After testing, export the solution as managed to facilitate movement to other environments.
