After upgrading to project operations from a previous system, the bookable resource tagged into the project cannot be changed, and the Bookable resource field is locked. Users encounter an error message stating, "Team member bookable resource cannot be changed."

After upgrading to project operations from a previous system, the bookable resource tagged into the project cannot be changed, and the Bookable resource field is locked. Users encounter an error message stating, "Team member bookable resource cannot be changed."
Reason:
This behavior is by design due to a validation added in the system that prevents users from changing the bookable resource for a team member. This validation is in place to avoid issues related to cascading changes on bookings, assignments, and resource calendars.
Resolution:
The recommended approach is to delete the current team member record and create a new team member linked to the desired bookable resource instead of attempting to change the resource on the existing project team member.
