The installation of Project Operations fails when attempting to clone the environment to a sandbox. The error message indicates a failed status.
 

Reason:
The upgrade installation failed due to data validation issues. Specifically, there are data inconsistencies preventing the upgrade, including the missing packageinstanceid attribute in the packagehistory entity.
 

Resolution:

  1. Review the errors logged in the Project Service app under Settings > Upgrade Logs.
  2. Resolve any data corruption or inconsistencies identified in the logs before retrying the upgrade.
  3. After addressing the data inconsistency, attempt the upgrade again.
