What’s happening?
During the inventory closing, it was identified that several transactions which had already been closed, experienced value adjustments.


Reason:
The adjustments typically occur in receipt transactions rather than issue transactions. It was noted that all sales transactions were closed, and there was no prior closing for the item in question before the adjustments were made.


Resolution:

  • Investigate the specific transactions that were adjusted to determine if there were any manual adjustments or cost changes in the item records.
  • Review the parameters related to "Include Physical Value" in the cost price settings, as this may impact how costs are calculated and adjusted.
  • Check if the transactions were processed in the same month and if there were any delays between physical receipt and invoice registration, as this could affect the adjustments.
  • Utilize the Cost Explorer tool to gain clearer insights into the inventory transactions and their adjustments.
  • If necessary, replicate the scenario in a standard environment to observe the behavior of the system regarding the adjustments.
