What’s happening?

This involves the incorrect setting of requested shipment and delivery dates on intercompany sales order lines when importing sales order lines through data entities. Specifically, while the sales order header dates are correctly copied from the sales company to the delivery company, the sales order lines are not receiving the correct requested ship date, which defaults to the current date instead of the expected date from the sales company.

 Reason:
The underlying cause appears to be a discrepancy in the logic executed in the data entities compared to the user interface when creating sales orders. This indicates that the functionality for setting requested dates is not functioning as intended in the data import process.

Resolution:

  • As a mitigation plan, it is recommended to update the sales order lines using the user interface after the line creation has occurred.
  • It is noted that the feature to address this issue is not currently available, and it has been suggested that this issue could be a candidate for the Ideas portal for future prioritization.
