What’s happening?
Customers are unable to disable the "Disable all planning processes" toggle in the Master planning parameters, which prevents the use of master planning for new legal entities.

Reason:
This arises when the Planning Optimization add-in is not installed or enabled, which is now mandatory to enable planning processes, even if the deprecated master planning engine is intended to be used.

Resolution:

  1. Ensure that Planning Optimization is installed by checking the "Connection status" on "Planning Optimization parameters" page. Status will show as “Connected" if it is already installed. If not then see how to Install and enable Planning Optimization.
  2. Enable the Planning Optimization on the "Planning Optimization parameters" page, as it is now mandatory.
  3. After installation and enablement, set the parameter "Disable all planning processes" to No on the Master planning parameters page.
  4. If you do not wish to use Planning Optimization for a specific legal entity, use the company picker to choose the company and navigate to:
  5. Master planning > Setup > Planning Optimization parameters.
  6. Open the Company information tab.
  7. Set "Exclude company from running Planning Optimization" to Yes to use the deprecated master planning engine for that company.
