What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with on-hand inventory that lacks a designated location, preventing the creation of work orders.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this is the absence of inventory transactions for items, which leads to unbalanced warehouse inventory transactions.
Resolution:
- Run the cleanup routine in the following order:
- Inventory dimensions cleanup
- Dimension inconsistency cleanup
- On-hand entries cleanup
- Warehouse management on-hand entries cleanup
- After the cleanup, perform a database consistency check for inventory transactions and on-hand entries for items and warehouse management.
- If the issue persists, attempt to cancel the work from the warehouse management module by navigating to:
- Clean up → Cancel Work
- Select the work ID and cancel the work.
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, review the following tables for discrepancies:
- inventSum
- whsInventReserve
- WHSINVENTORYTRANSACTION
- If necessary, a correction script can be provided based on the specific error messages encountered during the process.
